Port St. Joe

Catching limits of trout just got a little harder! As the water temperature warms up tons of other fish have shown up. Lady Fish and bluefish are cruising the grass flats hard! They seem to be out competing the trout and reds for our lures. My suggestion is to fish slow. Ladyfish and blues cruise the flats at a much higher rate of speed by working you bait slower they are much less like to pay it any
attention. You will still catch your fair share, but you’ll get your trout too.

Indian Pass

Look for birds! Birds have been picking on outgoing tides leading to easy limits of trout. Be sure to get upwind/upcurrent of the birds so you can drift in quietly to not disturb the ongoing feeding frenzy. The oyster reefs seem to be holding a fair number of quality fish as we have caught plenty of trout in that 20–24-inch range.  Redfish seem to be hanging tight to the bayou mouths all around St. Vincents Island. Gold Spoons will mostly always do the trick when it comes to redfish.
