Captain Wyatt Larson
Born and raised in Berthoud, CO, Wyatt discovered his love for the outdoors at a young age. By the age of ten, He was already calling the Little Thompson River his home, where he sharpened his skills catching basically everything that swims. With a little age, he discovered the joys of hunting. He and his friends mastered the Midwest enjoying the chase for mallards, widgeon, and teal. Wyatt’s love for fishing eventually took him from the frozen pond in the Rockies to the beauty of the open Gulf. He loves floating above the underwater wrecks catching snappers, groupers, and amberjacks. Being young and full of energy, Wyatt gets big thrills from power fish such as bull reds and tarpon, but he also enjoys the finesse of patrolling the flats and bayous. It has been a long Journey for him coming from one side of the country to the other, but he has finally found his home on the Forgotten Coast. |
Captain Jeremy Baxley
He was born and raised in Wewahitchka, Florida, and moved to Port St. Joe when he was about nine years old. Growing up, he was reeling in catfish and bream before he could ride a bike, and that early love of freshwater fishing naturally evolved into a passion for saltwater angling once we moved closer to the coast.
He spent his younger years wade fishing the flats of St. Joe Bay, and by the time he was 12, he had his first skiff and was chasing reds and trout every chance he got. He didn’t pick up a fly rod until after college, but once he jumped my first tarpon on the fly, he was hooked for good.
After college, life led him into a career in real estate appraisal, where he has spent the last 14 years. Along the way, he married his amazing wife, Kelly, and they now have two boys, Bennett and Beau, who are already showing signs of being little anglers themselves.
Becoming a fishing guide has always been a dream of his, and he is proud to now offer guided trips across Gulf, Bay, and Franklin counties. With 27 years of local fishing experience, he brings a deep knowledge of these waters and a true passion for helping others enjoy them the way he has for most of his life.
Things have gotten away from how they were when he was coming up, and he wants to bring some of that back to fishing—back to when it was about simplicity, patience, and a real connection to the water. That’s the kind of experience he aims to give every client who steps on his skiff.
